On This Day… On a Roll (or off it)

It seams not a lot happens in December around the region. Looking back 100 years there was articles about troop movements and what this country and that were doing as part of World War I, and so I decided to go further back and checked out what was happening 150 years ago. As you would expect, a lot of space was taken up with advertisements for Christmas products but then I stumbled on a most interesting titbit in the  Darling Downs Gazette and General Advertiser, Thursday 13 December 1866, page 3, that we found most curious. What on earth would you have to do to be “objected to” in an examination of the Electoral Roll?
